When going to see the Vancouver Biennle: The Meeting (Wang Shugang, China) I could not help but think of the uprising in the Arab world. Meetings are about listening and reaching consensus, however all over the world, leaders refrain from listening to their own people’s needs. It is important to remember that a great deal of people do not live in a fair society, and are forced to fight and experience unimaginable violence in the hope of securing their own rights and bringing justice.
