BIG IDEAS in Self Regulation

Monday May 20th, 2013

Awarded with the Vancouver Biennale’s BIG IDEAS artist collaborator grant in 2012, K to Grade 6/7 students of Henry Hudson Elementary School and Grade 10 of Kitsilano Secondary participated in Vancouver Biennale’s BIG IDEAS: Arts in Action Education Program. Drawing inspiration and ideas from Yue Minjun’s A-Maze-ing Laughter at Morton Park in Vancouver’s West End, students shared, reflected and responded to the BIG IDEA of Mindful Expression. The learning process is to guide the students to reflect on: “How can we mindfully express our feelings and ideas? How our verbal and non-verbal expressions impact on others? How to raise awareness of personal roles and responsibilities?” Watch the video to see how they responded!
