Walk around the seawall for an up-close-and-personal interaction with Yue Minjun’s A-Maze-ing Laughter (2009) sculpture (a pricey gift to the city from Lululemon founder Chip Wilson). Or keep heading up False Creek and you’ll run smack into the latest Vancouver Biennale offering: Marcus Bowcott’s Trans Am Totem (2015, pictured), a 10-metre-high mash-up of Northwest culture featuring an old-growth cedar trunk topped with five scrap cars.
