Ghizlane Agzenaï

Bio

Ghizlane Agzenaï, born in 1988, lives and works in Casablanca, Morocco.

“Object representing a benevolent spirit” — this idea lies at the heart of Ghizlane Agzenaï’s artistic practice. Each of her artworks is conceived as a vibrant visual emblem radiating positive energy, luminous vibration, and a force that is both wild and kind-hearted. Designed to infuse calm and benevolence into the environments they inhabit, her pieces are symbols of unity—open and extroverted, yet deeply introspective. Whether displayed in galleries, museums, or integrated into public spaces across the world, her works transmit joy, vitality, and contagious optimism.

True to her bold geometric visual language, Agzenaï herself embodies generosity and lightness of spirit. Her international career includes collaborations with prestigious institutions and global brands. Maison Guerlain invited her to design a personalized plate and case for its perfume collection *Les couleurs du oud*, and she also redesigned interiors for Guerlain boutiques around the world. In 2018, the Mohammed VI Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art selected her to transform its facade during the Jidar Festival in Rabat.

Working across canvas, concrete, and wood, Agzenaï brings her vivid palette and dynamic compositions to life in cities like Vienna, Casablanca, Paris, and beyond. She created original 3D works in Spain and was invited by Felipe Pantone to launch his artist residency with a modular sculptural piece. Her practice stretches from unconventional outdoor locations to corporate spaces like the Adidas headquarters in Germany. She also regularly exhibits in international showcases and fairs, including a 2022 group exhibition at the studio of optical art pioneer Victor Vasarely.
