Aging Determination

When I first saw this sculpture, its abstract neck reminded me of driftwood. This inspired me to use materials from a local beach for my sculpture. The piece is named “Aging Determination,” because she is holding up her head in a determined manner. Furthermore, it seems like she has been doing this for a very long time – perhaps she is waiting for someone/something?

Like what you see?
