Archibald Blair Grade 4/5 examined the intersecting relationship between identity, art and activism. This included an exploration into the students’ personal identities and the stories that shaped their worldviews. Students thought critically about what is important to them, and how this informs; influences and affects how they engage with the world around them. Students were then introduced to artists who have used creative expression to advocate for positive change, particularly in environmental activism. This is one of a video series of the students using spoken word poetry to express matters that are close to their hearts, and the changes that they wanted to see in the world around them.
