Dennis Oppenheimer’s piece The Engagement discusses the precarious balance in marriage and relationships. Using this Big Idea, I created my own discussion. Every day, relationships between people are created and it takes a great deal of effort from both parties to sustain them. I realize that these bonds are what keep the people in this world together. I decided to cast four hands from plaster in order to represent two pairs of hands holding the world together.
