This performance took place on Sunday, April 29 and is part of the Vancouver Biennale BIG IDEAS 2012 Performance Series. The Fine Arts Studio class from Arts Umbrella performed what they do in the studio at Granville Island outside at the Vancouver Biennale site, Engagement on Beach Avenue at English Bay. The instructor and director of Visual and Media Arts at Arts Umbrella, Roxanne Gagnon, hopes to challenge the students thinking of space, performance, artist, and/or viewer. By having the students participate and respond to the Vancouver Biennale art installation. This performance will not be rehearsed or contrived but instead a fluidity of interactions that blur boundaries between the disciplines.
