Moody Middle School BIG IDEAS Project

Awarded with a Vancouver Biennale BIG IDEAS artist collaborator grant in 2013, students from Moody Middle participated in the Vancouver Biennale BIG IDEAS 2014 Cross-Curricular Challenge. Drawing inspiration from various Biennale installations and artist Vik Muniz, students explored the BIG IDEA “The Arts Bring Awareness to Global Issues”.  Through a cross-curricular and art infused project, students inquired into the guiding questions: “What techniques can be used to convey messages through different art forms? In what ways can art create awareness about consumption and waste management and its impact on environment and poverty? In what ways can arts create transformative change?”
