Burnett Secondary • A Collective Poem for Walking Figures I

Through the Vancouver Biennale BIG IDEAS 2014 Education Program, Grade 10 students at Burnett Secondary explored what it means to be an individual in a collective on unceded Coast Salish territories, and the consequences of attempted assimilation of Indigenous Peoples and multiply situated migrants. They were inspired by the Vancouver Biennale Walking Figures sculpture.
